China's manufacturing sector has started to grow after a three-month decline
The index of business activity in this area increased from 47 points in December to 50.1 in January. An indicator above 50 indicates the expansion of the manufacturing sector, below 50 indicates its reduction. Production began to recover due to an increase in demand after the weakening of coronavirus restrictions, as well as in connection with the measures taken by the state to stabilize the economy.

The demand in the service sector also increased during the week-long holidays on the occasion of the Spring holiday. The index of business activity in the non-manufacturing sector of China rose to 54.4 in January. This indicator was higher only in June, when it amounted to 54.7 percentage points.

Chinese residents spent 180 million digital yuan during the New Year holidays
During the New Year holidays, Chinese residents spent 180 million digital yuan.
This increasingly popular version of the national currency is issued by the People's Bank of China, and it is managed by authorized operators. The digital yuan is a legal tender throughout the territory of the People's Republic of China.

It will be used frequently and will eventually become an everyday component of consumption."

So that the residents of the country could try to pay with a new currency and evaluate its advantages, the authorities issued discount coupons in digital yuan. In Shenzhen alone, over 7 days off, citizens were presented with virtual "red envelopes" worth 100 million yuan, and in Hongzhou – for 4 million digital yuan.

Hainan Island has become one of the most popular tourist destinations during the Spring Festival
The sun, palm trees, picturesque landscapes and golden beaches attract tourists to the resort island of Hainan. This year, 6 million 400 thousand people visited here during the New Year holidays – 18% more than at the same time in 2022. More than a million tourists are air travelers. During the week, the island's four air harbors received and sent almost 6,700 flights, which is 7% more than last year. And Sanya Phoenix Airport even set its own historical record, serving 85,000 people in a day.

The operational data showed incredible numbers, we have reached a new high."

The growth in the number of tourists has also led to an increase in purchases. During the Spring Festival, local duty-free shops held many online and offline events and promotions.
There were 40% more tourists in the shopping complex during these seven days than during the holiday week last year."

During the New Year holidays, sales in 12 Hainan duty-free shopping complexes exceeded $ 378 million. And the average daily revenue was 20% higher last year's.

The Shanghai Cultural Center hosts colorful events in honor of the Spring Festival
The Shanghai Cultural Center, which unites Shikumen-style buildings and a number of other ancient buildings, organized a whole program of New Year's events. The alleys are decorated with many lanterns and installations, including in the form of the symbol of the year – a rabbit. Each animal has its own name, for example, "Happy Rabbit", "Reunion Rabbit" or "Healthy Rabbit".

Every rabbit wishes people something for the coming year. For example, we have a lantern called "Excellent Rabbit"."

Visitors are invited to play games or try their hand at calligraphy and write paired New Year's couplets "chunlian".
I will give it to my parents, grandparents."

There is always an incredible New Year's atmosphere here."
The cultural center also hosts a New Year's fair. On it you can buy souvenirs that have been performed in more than 40 traditional Chinese techniques, or eat goodies, the taste of which returns to childhood.

I also asked my friends what they liked to eat during the New Year holidays as a child. I hope this will help people to immerse themselves in happy memories."
