Russian instructors have trained 1,000 specialists for the Ministry of Defense of Tajikistan.

Russian military instructors of the 201st military base trained 1,000 junior specialists in fourteen specialties for the Ministry of Defense of Tajikistan in 2022. This was reported in the press service of the Central Military District (CVO) on Monday.

"The training of servicemen took place at once at two training complexes of Lyaur and Sambuli in fourteen military specialties: the mechanic-driver and gunner-operator of the T-72 tank, the commander of the BM-21 Grad multiple launch rocket system, the gunner of the 2S1 Gvozdika self-propelled artillery gun, the gunner of the BTR-80 armored personnel carrier, the gunner-operator of the BMP—2 infantry fighting vehicle, also a scout, a grenade launcher and others," the statement says. a message specifying that a total of 1 thousand specialists have been trained.

The course lasted about three months. The training ended with the execution of control firing from standard weapons of combat vehicles, small arms and grenade launchers. Russian military personnel have been training specialists since 2015.

The 201st military base stationed in Tajikistan is Russia's largest military facility outside of its borders. It is located in two cities — Dushanbe and Bokhtar. It consists of motorized rifle, tank, artillery, reconnaissance units, air defense units, RCB protection and communications.
