The demand for air tickets to Kazakhstan among Russians increased by 95% in the summer.

The demand among Russian citizens for air tickets to Kazakhstan this summer has increased by 95% compared to the same period last year. This is stated in the study of the flight search service published on Monday .

"Most people come to the country from Russia, Turkey, Germany, Belarus, Uzbekistan and the Czech Republic. According to analysts compared to last summer, the demand for tickets to Kazakhstan among Russians increased by 95%, among Germans — by 85%, among Turks - by 43%. In Belarus and the Czech Republic, demand increased by 60% and 16%, respectively. And in neighboring Uzbekistan, the demand for tickets to Kazakhstan has decreased by 25%," the publication says.

It notes that the fee for flights has also changed. "The average cost of tickets from Russia's export to Kazakhstan for the summer of 2022 is 160,457 tenge ($ 336), last year at the same time the price was 32% lower. With tickets from Uzbekistan, the picture is the opposite. Their average cost has decreased by 38% and amounts to 66,495 tenge ($139)," the researchers said.

According to their data, Russians this year occupy the first place in the ranking both in terms of searches and the number of bookings. The list of the main Russian cities from which tickets to Kazakhstan are being searched for includes Moscow, St. Petersburg and Novosibirsk.

"There is also a positive trend of demand growth among foreigners for autumn. According to the top countries in terms of interest in autumn travel to Kazakhstan included Russia, Turkey, Germany, Georgia, Uzbekistan, Belarus and South Korea," the service's research says.
