Revaccination of the Russian military began at the Khmeimim airbase in Syria

Military personnel who were vaccinated more than six months ago are re-vaccinated. After vaccination, the military is under the supervision of qualified medical specialists for three days.


Doctors carry out revaccination of Russian military personnel at the Khmeimim airbase in Syria. Dmitry Kutik, a senior intern of the surgical department, told reporters about this.

“Revaccination is carried out in a planned manner. We are vaccinating all military personnel at the Khmeimim air base. At the moment, there has not yet been a single medical challenge,” said Dmitry Kutik, adding that military personnel who were vaccinated more than six months ago are undergoing re-vaccination.

According to a military doctor, vaccination carried out, as before, with the Russian drug Sputnik V. In front of her, all military personnel undergo a medical examination, they measure their temperature, pressure, and clarify whether there are contraindications to vaccination. After vaccination, the military is under the supervision of qualified medical specialists for three days.

At the end of June, the Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation Sergey Shoigu at a meeting in the military department reported that the main part of the Russian armed forces had been vaccinated against the coronavirus . Also at the meeting, information was announced that Russian military personnel stationed in Syria and Nagorno-Karabakh were 100% vaccinated.
