Since June 10, they no longer need special permission from the operational headquarters under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic.

The Cabinet of Ministers of Azerbaijan has softened the requirements for citizens of Russia and Turkey arriving in the country. The corresponding decision was published by the Cabinet of Ministers on Saturday.

“From June 10, citizens of Russia and Turkey arriving in Azerbaijan by air transport no longer need special permission from the Operational Headquarters under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic,” the report says.

In connection with the coronavirus pandemic, foreign citizens are allowed to enter Azerbaijan only with such a special permit. The softening of the regime for citizens of Russia and Turkey is due to the stable epidemiological situation in these countries, the Cabinet explained.

“From June 10, citizens of Russia and Turkey will be able to visit Azerbaijan by air, subject to the following conditions: a document confirming full vaccination against COVID-19 or recovery from infection with this infection (covid-passport), as well as a certificate of a negative test for coronavirus made by PCR no later than 72 hours before the flight; for persons under 18 years of age, a document confirming a negative PCR test for COVID-19, made no later than 72 hours before departure, must be presented.
