The winner of the contest was 34-year-old resident of Udmurtia Elena Maksimova.
A resident of Udmurtia, Elena Maksimova, received the main title of the international beauty contest for married women "Mrs. Universe — 2022". This year the competition was held in the Bulgarian capital Sofia from January 30 to February 5, the organizers of the competition from the Russian side told TASS on Sunday.
"A thirty—four—year-old resident of Udmurtia, Elena Maksimova, won the beauty contest "Mrs. Universe - 2022", the final of which was held on February 4 in Sofia," the press service said.
120 women from different countries — China, Thailand, Philippines, Japan, India, Belarus, Ukraine, Germany, Spain, USA and others - reached the final of the competition. For the first time in the history of the contest, which has been held since 2007, the first place was awarded to a representative of Russia.
Elena Maksimova was born in the village of Gyya, Udmurt Republic. Now she runs a network of language centers in Izhevsk, has two children, loves to travel and has already visited 34 countries. Last year, Elena Maksimova became the "Second Vice-Mrs. Russia — Universe", which gave her the opportunity to represent the country at the international stage of the competition.
"The competition at the contest was very tough — a record number of participants, and all of them deserve to win. It is a great honor for me to represent the country at such a serious competition, and I am very glad that I am returning with a victory. It is especially pleasant to be the first participant who brought victory to Russia," Elena's words were quoted in the press service Maximova.
