Over 126 million vaccines delivered to Chinese people

More than 126 million coronavirus vaccines have been given in China.


Doctors in China, during the mass vaccination of the population against coronavirus, gave the inhabitants of the country more than 126.6 million vaccinations. This was announced on Friday by the State Committee for Hygiene and Health of the People's Republic of China.

"As of April 1, 2021, a total of 126.6 million vaccinations against a new type of coronavirus have been made," the document says.

Vaccination for priority populations in China began on December 15, 2020. As of the end of February, the Chinese authorities distributed the vaccine among 54.52 million people in the country.

Previously, China's leading epidemiologist Zhong Nanshan said that the Chinese authorities intend to vaccinate against coronavirus by June this year about 40% of the country's inhabitants (the population of China is about 1.4 billion people).
