The organizers named the date and venue of the forum "Eco-Altai. The Thread of Nature"

The dates and venue of the eco forum were determined at a meeting of the Organizing Committee, which took place on February 3 in the Government of the Altai Republic. The meeting was opened by the Head of the Altai Republic, Chairman of the Government of the Altai Republic Oleg Khorokhordin. "Holding an environmental forum in the Altai Republic has already become a tradition. This year the Forum will be held in an international format for the first time. There is a preliminary agreement with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of India to the Russian Federation Pavan Kapoor on the participation of the country's delegation in the event. In addition, the possibility is being considered to invite to the Forum not only representatives of other regions interested in the development of the environmental agenda, but also participants from other countries, in particular Mongolia and Vietnam," Oleg Khorokhordin stressed.

The meeting of the Organizing Committee for the preparation of the Forum was attended by First Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Altai Republic Vitaly Makhalov; Deputy Chairman of the Government, Chief of Staff of the Head of the Altai Republic Mikhail Margachev; First Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Altai Republic Eger Yalbakov; Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Altai Republic Dinara Kultueva; Head of the ANO "Altai Republic Development Center" Mikhail Grudinin; Chairman of the Board, Director of the Roscongress Foundation Alexander Stuglev; Deputy Director of the Roscongress Foundation, Director of the Eastern Economic Forum Igor Pavlov and others.

Igor Pavlov outlined a set of organizational issues and highlighted key approaches to the preparation and holding of the Forum in 2023. He stressed that "the ideology of the forum "Eco-Altai. The Thread of Nature“ is very much in demand in the current environmental agenda. The Forum is actively developing, more participants are planned this year, and the business program will be expanded. To study it, an expert council was created, which included about 50 people. Among them are reputable scientists and practitioners in the field of ecology, specialists of state authorities, specialized state institutions, organizations dealing with problems of nature protection, conservation of biological and landscape diversity, natural and cultural heritage, representatives of public organizations."

The meeting approved the updated composition of the Organizing Committee, which included the Ministers of Tourism and Health of the Altai Republic, the heads of the Manzherok VC, Gorno-Altaysk Airport JSC, the Russian Environmental Operator, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Altai Republic, as well as representatives of the Russian Foreign Ministry.

The Altai Republic is deservedly considered the ecological capital of Russia. This is the only subject of the Russian Federation whose Socio-economic Development Strategy defines the noospheric development of the region. The noosphere is a new, evolutionary state of the biosphere, in which intelligent human activity becomes a decisive factor in its development.

"Forum "Eco-Altai. The Thread of Nature“ becomes the territory of innovative strategies and projects of ecological development, a platform combining new practices of regions for economic development and preservation of ecological balance. The forum will highlight the absolute importance today of the topics of noospheric development, relevant innovative environmental initiatives, the development of eco–tourism – these and many other successful practices of the Altai Republic for scaling in other regions of the country," said Alexander Stuglev, Director of the Roscongress Foundation.

In preparation for the Altai International Environmental Forum "Eco-Altai. In 2023, it is planned to hold events on the sidelines of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, as well as at other major events of the Roscongress Foundation, in order to draw attention to the Forum as a key environmental event of the noosphere.
