Eight new workshops equipped according to WorldSkills standards have opened at the Vladivostok State University of Economics and Service. The university won this year's competitive selection in the areas of "Information and Communication Technologies" and "Art, Design and Services", the press service of the government of Primorsky Krai reports on Friday.
"Primorsky Krai is the winner of the selection for grants Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation to create modern workshops according to WorldSkills standards. This year alone, 12 such laboratories have already been opened in the region - the material and technical base has been updated in colleges in Ussuriysk and Vladivostok. Now eight more have been opened," the Minister of Vocational Education and Employment of the Territory explained Sergey Dubovitsky, quoted by the press service.
The opening of WorldSkills workshops takes place as part of the regional program "Development of Education in the Primorsky Territory" of the national project "Education". By 2024, Primorye will have 78 laboratories that will train specialists according to the world's leading standards.
The national project "Education" is aimed at ensuring the global competitiveness of Russian education. According to the goals of the national project, Russia should be among the top ten countries in the world in terms of the quality of general education.
