A mass race dedicated to the 100th anniversary of civil aviation will be held in the Stavropol Territory, about 300 people will take part in it, the head of the Mineralovodsk city district Vyacheslav Sergienko told TASS on Tuesday.
"A mass race dedicated to the 100th anniversary of civil aviation will be held in Mineralnye Vody on February 5. The race, the distance of which will be 3 km, will be attended by about 300 people - employees of the Mineralovodsk airport, aviation veterans, partners of the air harbor, as well as mineral farmers who have registered for the race," Vyacheslav Sergienko said.
According to him, the starting zone will be located next to the Vershina shopping center.
"We decided to celebrate the important centenary of the national civil aviation in a bright, sporty way. <...> Each finisher, regardless of the results of the race, will receive a commemorative medal of the participant, and the winners will receive champion cups. Zones with hot tea and coffee, porridge, as well as performances by creative teams are provided for participants and fans," the head of the district said.
