The first group of pilgrims will fly to Saudi Arabia on a charter flight from Magas Airport on August 9.

According to the Spiritual Board of Muslims of the Republic, this year about 200 people are going to fulfill one of the main prescriptions of Islam. This number is twice as high as last year. In total, 360 places have been allocated to believers in the region this year. The next charter flight will depart from the Chechen capital on August 11.

Each group will be accompanied by two instructors. They will help you navigate in another state and explain the sequence and traditions of the Hajj.

As Big Asia previously reported, in April, an agreement was reached on the organization of charter routes for the Hajj. This year, the registration of applications for the pilgrimage ended on June 10th. In addition, since 2018, in order to reduce the time spent at passport control, the government of Saudi Arabia has introduced electronic entry documents for pilgrims.

For reference:

< i>Hajj is one of the five pillars of Islam, along with the observance of the holy month of Ramadan and prayer five times a day. The pilgrimage to Mecca and Medina begins each year about two months after Ramadan.
