Moscow took part in the tourist exhibition FITUR



The tourist exhibition FITUR was held from 19 to 23 May in Madrid and became the first foreign offline event in 2021 to present the tourism potential of the Russian capital in the international arena.
One of the goals of Moscow's participation in FITUR was to establish professional contacts with the global tourism community. Special attention was paid to business tourism. Within the framework of the exhibition, a closed event FITUR MICE was held, where Mosturism presented the possibilities of the capital to host world-class events and held more than 50 meetings with the largest international corporations and agencies in the field of business tourism. All of them consider Moscow as one of the key destinations for MICE tourism. This is facilitated by a high level of security, active vaccination of the population, the introduction of electronic visas and the arrival of the Michelin guide in the capital.
The Moscow tourism industry was given the opportunity to virtually participate in FITUR. As a result, all the capital's tour operators, hotels and display facilities, who submitted applications, were presented at the capital stand on special multimedia panels. In the virtual catalog it was possible to find all the information about the company, presentation and contact details, with the help of which interested potential partners could contact them.
Also at the Moscow booth, for the first time for a European audience, the digital travel service RUSSPASS was presented, which launched a version in Spanish for the exhibition. With its help, users can create the desired travel route using ready-made offers or add interesting sights from over 2000 offers.
As part of the business session at the booth of the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO), another Mostourism Moscow Travel Hub project was presented. It became the only Russian project selected for presentation. Today Moscow Travel ;Hub brings together more than 2,000 market participants and includes an acceleration program, a hackathon, as well as business events and educational sessions.
Throughout the days of the exhibition, videos about Moscow were broadcast at the capital's stand: its gastronomy, culture and the Muscovites themselves. Also, everyone could take part in a quiz from the RUSSPASS service.
