Moscow and Baku are discussing the launch of Sputnik V production in Azerbaijan

Russia and Azerbaijan are working on the issue of organizing the production of the Sputnik V vaccine in the republic. This is stated in the materials prepared for the talks between the presidents of the two countries Vladimir Putin and Ilham Aliyev.

“In 2021, at the request of the Azerbaijani side, 220,000 doses of the Russian vaccine Sputnik V. An additional 80,000 doses are planned to be delivered. No new applications have been received. The organization of vaccine production in the republic is being worked out,” the document says.

Moscow and Baku are actively developing cooperation on coronavirus issues. In the spring of 2020, the Azerbaijani side received 120 sets of Vector test systems (for 12,000 tests). In the summer of 2020, groups of doctors were sent to Azerbaijan from the Main Military Clinical Hospital named after. N. N.
