The authorities of Yakutia plan to achieve collective immunity in the republic in two months.


“The vaccination plan is now approximately 60% completed. Over the next two months, we hope to vaccinate 60% of the adult population and achieve herd immunity, - said the head of the republic, Aisen Nikolaev, in an interview with Izvestia, published on Monday.


He also noted that at the moment, 97% of the vaccine received in the region has already been used, about 10,000 remain in the republic. doses - mainly "Epivaccorona". Nikolaev noted that Sputnik V in the region is quickly ending: the last delivery was on July 27, 2.5 thousand tons were received. doses, almost all used, next batch expected in the first week of August. The head of the republic also noted that the demand for vaccination has become large in recent weeks.


“Unfortunately, we have all strains -Indian, British, Brazilian, Wuhan. Last Saturday, Nikolaev signed a decree according to which “coronavirus-free” establishments will work in compliance with restrictive measures. The adopted document suspends the decree, which entered into force on 1 July          It was also noted that in the region a significant increase in the incidence rate was recorded - by 25% in the age group of 18-29 years.
