The vaccination rate of the Malaysian population against coronavirus has exceeded 75%.

More than 24.5 million people in Malaysia (over 75% of the population) have completed a full course of vaccination against coronavirus. This is stated in a statement posted on the website of the Ministry of Health on Monday.

“A total of approximately 24.5 million people, or 75.2% of the total population, received both doses of drugs,” the ministry said. In addition, the ministry noted that "at the moment, more than 2.3 million adolescents (from 12 to 17 years old - approx. TASS) have also completed the vaccination course, which is almost 75% of the total number of this age group."
< br> The state vaccination program uses drugs from the consortium Pfizer and BioNTech (Biontek), AstraZeneca and Sinovac. Late last month, Health Minister Khairi Jamaluddin announced that the government intends to procure a vaccine from Pfizer and BioNTech to be used for children aged 5 to 12.
