Mongolia opens borders for vaccinated Russian tourists

Mongolia opens entry to Russians who have received the Sputnik V vaccine.


Mongolia is reopening its borders to Russian tourists and businesses who have received two doses of the coronavirus vaccine. Mongolian Foreign Minister Batmunkhin Battsetseg announced this on Tuesday at a press conference following talks with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.

“We express our gratitude for delivery of 60,000 doses of the Sputnik V vaccine to Mongolia to fight the pandemic,” she said. “From today we open our borders. So we invite Russian citizens, business and tourism representatives who have already received two doses of the COVID-19 vaccine to visit our country.”

The head of the Mongolian diplomatic department also noted that the government of the country is successfully completing the vaccination of the population today “under the general call "summer without covid".
