Interior Ministers of Tajikistan and Russia to meet in Dushanbe

The joint Board of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Tajikistan and the Russian Federation will be held in September 2022 in Dushanbe.

This was announced to journalists on Tuesday by the head of the Interior Ministry of the republic.

"In September of this year, a joint board of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Tajikistan and Russia," Rahimzoda informed, adding that all issues on the agenda have been agreed with his Russian counterpart. "The main topics of the meeting will be the fight against terrorism, extremism, transnational crime and drug trafficking, and the effectiveness of joint work in the fight against crime will be analyzed," the minister said.

Meeting of the Joint Board of the Ministries of Internal Affairs of Tajikistan and Russia has been held annually since 1999. The Head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Tajikistan stressed earlier that the agencies of the two countries closely cooperate in the fight against crime, in particular, by working to detain members of terrorist groups, systematically exchanging information and experience.
