Mikhail Mishustin arrived on his first working visit to Dushanbe

Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin arrived on Thursday on his first working visit to Tajikistan. He will spend two days here.

In particular, in Dushanbe, the Prime Minister of the Russian Federation will hold talks with the Prime Minister of Tajikistan Kohir Rasulzoda. The heads of the Cabinet of Ministers will discuss topical issues of bilateral trade and economic cooperation, cooperation in energy, industry, transport, cultural and humanitarian spheres.

The Russian Prime Minister will also meet with President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon and Chairman of the Upper House of the Parliament of the Republic, Mayor of Dushanbe Rustam Emomali. It is expected that a number of intergovernmental and interdepartmental documents will be signed following the meetings and negotiations.

In addition, Mikhail Mishustin will take part in the plenary session of the 9th conference on interregional cooperation "Business and Investment Partnership of Russia and Tajikistan". It is devoted to cooperation in the field of industrial cooperation, energy, ecology, transport and logistics, as well as in scientific, educational and humanitarian spheres.

This is Mikhail Mishustin's first visit to Dushanbe as Prime Minister, but he regularly contacts colleagues from Tajikistan — both in a bilateral format and on multilateral platforms.
