On May 10, in Chechnya, all regions of the Republic will celebrate the Day of Memory and Sorrow of the Chechen people.

This date was set in 2010 by a special Decree of the Head of the Chechen Republic.

The first president of the Chechen Republic, the Hero of Russia, Akhmat-Khadzhi Kadyrov, will be especially remembered in the Shali region. To repay the debt of memory, a religious Muslim ceremony will take place: during the prayer meeting of believers - Movlida - dhikrs will be read. Dhikr is a special kind of prayer by which a believing Muslim accepts the will of the Almighty and glorifies His Name. The basis of the religious worldview is the acceptance of both joys and sorrows. Dhikrs are read, including when commemorating the dead.

The inhabitants of the Republic will remember all their fellow tribesmen who fell victim to the tragic events that shook the national history.

The Day of Remembrance and Sorrow of the Chechen people will also be celebrated and in the Sverdlovsk region, in the city of Verkhnyaya Pyshma. The prayer meeting will be held at the Copper Mosque named after Imam Ismail Al-Bukhari. Salaudin Mamakov, official representative of the Chechen Republic in the Sverdlovsk region, will take part in the commemoration.
