According to the agency's interlocutor, "a batch of 2.7 million doses of the Russian Sputnik V vaccine has been delivered to the Philippines." Both components of the drug, 1.35 million doses of each, arrived in the republic.

To date, the Philippines has received a total of 4.39 million doses of Sputnik V. In total, since February of this year, more than 106.2 million doses of various vaccines against coronavirus have been delivered to the republic.

On January 30, 2020, the first case of coronavirus infection was detected in the Philippines, whose population exceeds 109 million people. To date, the total number of infected people in the republic has exceeded 2.79 million, more than 2.7 million people have recovered, and 43.4 thousand patients have died. More than 27.3 million people have been fully vaccinated in the country. A number of drugs have been approved for use in the republic, including the Russian Sputnik V and Sputnik Light.
