The Chinese authorities will resume issuing visas to Afghan citizens from August 1. This was announced on Friday by the Chinese Foreign Ministry.


As specified on the agency's website, the Chinese Foreign Minister informed the Afghan side about this decisionWang Yi, who is in Uzbekistan, where the meeting of the foreign Ministers of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization is taking place.

"China is striving to strengthen the strategic dialogue with the Afghan side to promote the One Belt, One Road initiative," he stressedWang Yi . According to him, Beijing will seek to expand the China-Pakistan economic corridor towards Afghanistan.

The Chinese diplomat also noted that 98% of Afghan products supplied to China will be exempt from duties.
