The Chinese folding smartphone Vivo X Fold has been entered into the Guinness Book of Records. As the information portal "Sina" reported on Thursday, 300 thousand folds were carried out during testing of the hinge of this phone, after which it continued to work.

The test was conducted live and lasted 11 days, 6 hours, 20 minutes and 9 seconds (about 270 hours). Earlier, Samsung stated that its Samsung Galaxy Fold smartphone can withstand 200 thousand folds.

According to the manufacturer, the Vivo X Fold hinge is manufactured using six different materials, which allowed to increase the structural strength by 76%, as well as to reduce the overall weight of the phone by 21 grams.

The premiere of Vivo X Fold took place in April of this year. It is equipped with external and internal displays with a diagonal of 8.03 and 6.53 inches, as well as a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor. The RAM size is 12 gigabytes. The weight of the device is 311 grams.

The smartphone is available in two trim levels with 256 and 512 gigabytes of memory and is sold in China at a price of 8,999 to 9,999 yuan (from 1,347 to 1,497 dollars).
