Flotillas of Russia, China and South Africa conducted exercises to combat maritime threats
At the end of February, the armed forces of Russia, China and the Republic of South Africa conducted joint maneuvers in the waters and airspace of South Africa.
In honor of the beginning of the exercises, a solemn reception was held on the deck of the Chinese missile frigate "Zhizhao", which helped to rally the crews from the three countries.

Including in the fields of security and defense. The joint military exercises of our countries are open in nature, which is welcomed by people who support world peace."

Representatives of the Chinese Navy emphasize that joint maneuvers expand the capabilities of the BRICS countries to create a community of common destiny and combat maritime threats. During the exercises, the flotilla practiced combat operations against pirates, air defense and landing helicopters on deck.

Sipiwe Lucky Sangweni, Lieutenant General of the South African Armed Forces:
"This exceptional opportunity has helped to strengthen our fleet and develop more useful skills among the personnel. Now our country will be able to better ensure safety at sea."
This is not the first joint exercises: the navies of Russia, China and South Africa have already conducted such maneuvers four years ago.

Russian exports to India have grown almost fivefold in a year
Our country has reached the fourth place in the world in terms of exports to India. From last April to January of this year, the total volume of Russian supplies to the Asian republic amounted to about $ 37 billion — almost 5 times more than a year earlier. Such data was published by the Ministry of Trade and Industry of India.

Such rapid growth is associated with large quantities of crude oil at reduced prices, which our country offered to its southern partner against the backdrop of new sanctions and trade restrictions of the West. Exports of petroleum products from India also increased sharply. In the same ten months, its volume reached almost $ 80 billion, having increased more than one and a half times in a year. The country ranks third in the world in terms of oil consumption and meets 80% of domestic demand for "black gold" through imports.

Geologists study the activity of mud volcanoes in Turkmenistan
In the south-west of Turkmenistan there is an active mud volcano Akpatlavuk — one of the largest and most active on the planet. Its height is more than 60 meters. Eruptions occur when the gas pressure increases underground. At a critical concentration, it explodes in the crater and releases the vent. Then mud flows come to the surface, which consists of clay, water, oil and fragments of sedimentary rocks. Such bursts of activity are accompanied by a recognizable smell of hydrogen sulfide, and sometimes a column of flame hundreds of meters high. These are burning emissions of underground methane with an admixture of nitrogen and inert gases.

Eruptions occur quite often. These days we are seeing more powerful emissions than before. Mud masses fly out of the vent at a distance of up to 30 meters."

About 30 active mud volcanoes are concentrated on the territory of Turkmenistan, but their number is constantly changing depending on the geological activity. These natural formations help to explore new oil and gas fields and explore natural phenomena that occur at great depths.

The Chinese Documentary Film Festival will last until the end of the year and will cover the whole world
Cinema lovers got another reason to get acquainted with films from China. During this year, a series of screenings will be held all over the planet as part of the Chinese documentary Festival. This year it is timed to coincide with the 10th anniversary of the international initiative "One Belt, One Road".

Trains running between China and Europe can be called steel camels that stabilize supply chains. And projects in the field of clean energy with the participation of Chinese companies have helped many countries to establish uninterrupted energy supply."

Hu Heping, Minister of Culture and Tourism of the People's Republic of China, noted that thanks to the projects of the "One Belt, One Road" initiative, it was possible to introduce Chinese culture to many people abroad and strengthen the influence of Chinese civilization in the world.

This initiative is becoming increasingly popular. We have signed agreements or memoranda of cooperation with 142 countries. We have more and more friends and partners."

The head of the Media Corporation of China, Shen Haixiong, noted that the main goal of the documentary film festival of China is to call all countries and peoples of the world to harmonious coexistence.

But its results and the chances that arise during its implementation belong to the whole world. We want to show in the language of cinema the garden of "One Belt, One Way", where hundreds of flowers bloom."

Representatives of the media community from different countries spoke at the online opening ceremony of the festival.

We will be interested in works that tell about real success stories of people in life, in business, in sports. Stories about how today we are building a world together that should unite, not divide people, because we have a common destiny."
During the festival, more than 60 documentaries and feature films will be screened in five languages: Russian, English, French, Spanish and Arabic.
