The train passed over the "Sino-Korean Friendship Bridge".

Cargo transportation by rail between the Chinese city of Dandong in Liaoning Province and the city of Siniju in the DPRK resumed almost 5 months after the suspension of communication caused by coronavirus. This was reported on Monday by the Yonhap news agency.

The agency recorded how a train with freight cars from China passed through the "Sino-Korean Friendship Bridge" to the DPRK. The message was suspended on April 29 due to an outbreak of coronavirus in a Chinese border town.

On May 12 of this year, the Korean Central Telegraph Agency for the first time reported the detection of coronavirus in the People's Republic. On August 10, North Korean leader Kim Jong-un announced victory over the coronavirus in the People's Republic.

China is a key economic partner of the DPRK, it accounts for the vast majority of Pyongyang's foreign trade turnover. Over the past two years, there has been a decline in the trade turnover of the two countries due to preventive measures related to coronavirus.
