On February 6, the awarding ceremony of the winners of the All-Russian exhibition rating "The Best Dogs of Russia-2022" took place in Moscow.

The first pet of the Russian Guard Inter was killed during a combat mission in the zone of a special military operation. During their combat service at the observation post, Ensign Yuri P. and Inter came under shelling. The dog handler received a severe shrapnel wound, and his four-legged partner could not be saved from his injuries.

Prior to the start of the special military operation, the Russian guardsman, together with Inter, repeatedly took part in the protection of public order and ensuring public safety during mass events in the city of Moscow. They were also regular participants of the All-Russian competitions in canine sports, where they repeatedly won prizes.

In the same nomination, a police dog handler of the engineering and technical department of the OMON "Scorpion-Caspian" of the Department of the Russian Guard for the Republic of Dagestan, senior police ensign Evgeny S. and his combat partner, the German shepherd Dori, distinguished themselves. Tandem specializes in the search and detection of explosives and explosive objects. Together with her master, Dori has already managed to visit the zone of a special military operation.
