Kazakhstan is considering the possibility of joining the “I travel without COVID-19” project.

The authorities of Kazakhstan are working on the issues of joining the republic to the project, which allows citizens of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) to travel using the mobile application “I travel without COVID-19.” This was announced on Tuesday by the press service of the Ministry of Trade and Integration of the Republic.

“In the near future, citizens of Kazakhstan will be able to carry out business and personal trips within the EAEU countries using the "I travel without COVID-19". Currently, the authorized bodies of the Republic of Kazakhstan are working on the legal and technical issues of Kazakhstan joining this project,” the message says. through Armenia and Belarus in a simplified manner. Using the platform, you can choose a clinic for testing for coronavirus, get the result of the analysis, and if it is negative, go on a trip. The result of the test, which must be presented at the border, is also stored and displayed in the application.

The platform makes it easier for residents of the EAEU countries to move between countries, while ensuring compliance with current requirements, the Russian cabinet says. In addition to information on the sanitary and epidemiological rules and regulations in force in a particular country of the Union, the application contains a list of verified laboratories and allows responsible persons to check the test results upon entry both visually (the green color of the “fresh” test QR code) and using a standard QR-code reader on any smartphone.

On February 10, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan reported that citizens of the country cannot enter Russia through Armenia or Belarus due to the fact that the republic is not represented in the mobile program « Traveling without COVID-19.” As noted in the department, recently Kazakhstanis more often began to try to enter Russia through third countries, and cases of transit to Kazakhstan from third countries through Moscow airports have also become more frequent.
