Kazakhstan plans to carry out digitalization on its own

Kazakhstan, within the framework of digitalization, expects to use its own resources.

Kazakhstan, in the course of implementing its digital platform, targets its own developers, but may turn to foreign companies if necessary. Bagdat Musin, Minister of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry of the Republic, 

“We not    we will tend to & nbsp; to buy foreign. If there are some elements that we will not be able to implement [on our own], of course we will look for foreign solutions, he said.

According to him, the priority for the republic is to create a platform for digitalization based on the resources of the Kazakh operator National Information Technologies JSC.

September 3, 2021, on the margins of the Eastern Economic Forum, the then Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Askar Maminand  Sberbank German Grefsigned a memorandum of cooperation in the implementation of projects on the digital transformation of the republic, the transition to platform digitalization model and the concept of Data Driven Government. After that, in March 2022, it was planned to conclude a cooperation agreement, but Kazakhstan postponed its signing. In mid-April, the press service of the Ministry of Digital Development of the Republic reported that the Kazakh authorities currently do not have legal relations with the Sber group for the implementation of the digital platform.
