Charter flights from Khabarovsk to Phuket will be launched for the first time since the beginning of the pandemic.

Pegasus tour operator launches charter flights from Khabarovsk to Phuket Island in Thailand. This was reported to TASS on Tuesday by the representative of the Russian Union of the Travel Industry, Valentina Aseeva.

"Charters to Phuket will begin on November 6. In the Khabarovsk Territory, these flights were very much awaited, there is a flurry of calls, the demand for this direction is great," said Valentina Aseeva.

Departures will be carried out on board the airline "Icarus", flights are planned until the end of March. It takes about eight hours to fly from Khabarovsk to Phuket.

Before the pandemic, Thailand was one of the most popular holiday destinations for residents of the Khabarovsk Territory. There were also flights from Khabarovsk to Vietnam, to the Chinese island of Hainan, there was air communication with the cities of China, Seoul. Currently, there are no international departures for tourists from Khabarovsk. Valentina Aseeva said that they mainly chose Turkey, the United Arab Emirates, the Maldives, where they got through Moscow, other cities of Russia and CIS countries. You can get to Thailand through Irkutsk, Moscow, through Vladivostok with a transfer in Laos, through Kazakhstan.

Earlier, the Thai authorities lifted all coronavirus entry restrictions and lifted the state of emergency imposed in the country due to the coronavirus pandemic. In addition, the requirements for presenting a vaccination certificate or coronavirus test results have been canceled for those entering the kingdom.
