The Cabinet of Ministers for the fight against coronavirus this week presented a 7-stage plan for the country's exit from the nationwide quarantine.

The transition between stages will have to take some time and will depend on the results achieved in reducing the incidence rate.

Detailed parameters will be announced in a week, but many details are already known.

Exit plan:

1. The resumption of the work of kindergartens and private sector enterprises that do not work with visitors.

2. Subject to the successful implementation of the first step and the reduction of the incidence, the second stage will resume the studies of students in grades 1-4 schools and food and non-food stores will be allowed to operate.

3. The opening of public organizations and private enterprises working with visitors, as well as beauty and hairdressing salons. Restaurants will be allowed to serve guests outdoors.

4. Gyms, swimming pools, hotels, and professional sports will return to work.

5. Ben Gurion Airport will start operating without restrictions. Restaurants and cafes will be allowed to receive guests on the premises, the work of cultural institutions will resume.

6. Schoolchildren in grades 5-8 will be able to return to school.

7. Return to school for students in grades 9-12.

The entire plan will take at least two and a half months to complete.

“Israel is making tremendous efforts to get out of quarantine. The tough measures that we are observing in the country are designed to speed up the process of normalizing the epidemiological situation. We are very interested in the speedy return of life to its previous course and the resumption of tourism,” comments Vladimir Shklyar, Director of the Department of the Ministry of Tourism of Israel in the Russian Federation and the CIS, Counselor of the Embassy of the State of Israel.
