Israel and Bahrain agree on mutual recognition of vaccination passports

Israel and Bahrain signed an agreement on Monday for the mutual recognition of vaccination certificates. This was announced on Twitter by the Minister of Health of the Jewish State Nitzan Horowitz.

“I signed with my colleague, the Minister of Health of Bahrain, an agreement on the mutual recognition of vaccination certificates,” wrote the head of the Israeli Ministry of Health. On October 24, a similar agreement was reached between the Israeli side and the United United Arab Emirates (UAE).

On September 15, 2020, in Washington, Israel, with the active mediation of the United States, signed the Abraham Accords, documents on the normalization of relations with the UAE and Bahrain. Prior to the conclusion of peace with these two states from the Arab countries, only Egypt and Jordan maintained diplomatic relations with Israel.
