Indian ships arrived in Vladivostok for the exercises "Indra"

The opening ceremony of the exercise will take place on October 20

"The solemn ceremony of welcoming the detachment of ships of the Indian Navy in as part of the frigate "Satpura" and corvette "Kadmatt" took place at 33 pier of the Ship embankment of the city of Vladivostok. <...> According to old Russian tradition, guests were greeted with bread and salt  — said Voskresensky.

Earlier, a command group and Indian servicemen arrived in Vladivostok, who will represent the state during the land component of the exercise.

The opening ceremony of the exercise will take place on October 20.

< p>This year, for the first time, Russian-Indian maneuvers will be held in an interspecific format. Instead of the exercises "Indra-Nevi-2016" held last year, "AviaIndra-2016" Prime; and "Indra-2016″ will conduct maneuvers with the participation of three types of Armed Forces — with involvement of the forces of the Pacific Fleet, aviation and land units of the Eastern Military District.
