India develops nasal spray against coronavirus

Indian pharmaceutical company Glenmark has developed a nitric oxide nasal spray to treat adult coronavirus patients. This is stated in a press release published on Wednesday on the company's website.

"Glenmark has received approval to manufacture and market nitric oxide nasal spray from the Comptroller General of Medicines of India as part of an expedited approval process," it said in a release. 94% during the first day and 99% during the second day. The company added that the spray “when sprayed onto the nasal mucosa acts as a physical and chemical barrier against the virus, preventing it from developing and spreading to the lungs.”

Glenmark is said to be marketing the drug under the name FabiSpray in India. and several Asian countries.

According to the company, the drug was developed in collaboration with the Canadian company SaNOtize Research & Development.
