India begins revaccination of adults against COVID-19

In addition, a number of local vaccine manufacturers have announced price cuts for their products in order to intensify the revaccination campaign. Thus, the price of the Covishield vaccine, developed by the British-Swedish company AstraZeneca and produced by the Indian Serum Institute, has been reduced from 600 rupees (about $ 8) to 225 rupees (about $ 3) per dose, and the cost of Covaxin, manufactured by the Indian company Bharat Biotech, has been reduced from 1 200 rupees (about 16 dollars) also up to 225 rupees.

India began to introduce booster doses from January 10 this year, at the first stage only doctors, medical staff, people on the front lines of the fight against the pandemic were eligible for revaccination , as well as residents over 60 years of age with comorbidities. From March 16, eligibility for a booster dose was extended to all adults over 60 years of age.
