He told reporters that the action is being carried out by the Khanty-Mansi branch of the Young Guard of United Russia with the active support of the youth parliament of the regional Duma. The rally began on April 17 in Nizhnevartovsk. Uzbekistan is listed as the last country in the list of states through which the convoy passed. After crossing the Russian border, the cars passed along the roads of Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan, and now they are already in the Uzbek capital.
The rally participants were greeted by Russian Ambassador to Uzbekistan Vladimir Tyurdenev. He recalled that more than one and a half million Soviet citizens were evacuated to Uzbekistan during the war. The current motor rally is a living reminder of the military brotherhood of peoples in those distant years, the Russian diplomat said in his speech.
