In Japan, the incidence of COVID-19 exceeded 25 thousand people for three days in a row

On Saturday, Japan recorded more than 25,000 new coronavirus infections for the third consecutive day, with officials confirming 25,492 new coronavirus infections.


Tokyo's government reported 5,074 new infections on Saturday, down 20 from a week ago.

The figure marks the first time the Japanese capital has recorded more than 5,000 new infections for the fourth consecutive day.

Tokyo officials said 270 coronavirus patients were in serious condition as of Saturday, three fewer than the previous day.
