The Government of Georgia, as part of the fight increase in the number of people infected with coronavirus, decided from 28 November to January 31 to ban the operation of restaurants, shopping facilities, and also suspend public transport in large cities. “Regular transportation of passengers, including  rail, bus and taxi is prohibited. Restaurants and  catering facilities are completely switching to food delivery mode, - the message says and it is indicated that public transport will not work in Tbilisi, Batumi, Kutaisi, Rustavi, Gori, Zugdidi, Telavi and Poti .

By the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers, the operation of fitness centers and swimming pools throughout the country, holding seminars, trainings, as well as the work of sports and cultural circles is also prohibited. In addition, the duration of the ban on being on streets is increasing: now residents cannot leave home from 22:00 to 05:00 (from 21:00 to 04:00 Moscow time), and s  ;November - from 21:00 local time (from 20:00 Moscow time).

In large cities of the country, all stores, except for grocery stores, pharmacies, facilities for the sale of household chemicals and hygiene supplies, as well as newsstands, will stop working. Shops selling pet food, as well as agricultural markets and beauty salons are allowed to operate.

From 24 December to 2 January inclusive, in connection with New Year's holidays, all restrictions will be lifted.
