Epidemiologists and video bloggers will become nominees for the victory in the Delphic Games in Krasnoyarsk for the first time

For the first time at the XXI Youth Delphic Games of Russia in Krasnoyarsk, competitions will be held in the nominations "Epidemiology and Bioinformatics" and "Popular Science Video Blogging". The games will take place from 22 to 27 April.
One of the new nominations - "Epidemiology and Bioinformatics" - is dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the sanitary and epidemiological service of Russia, is held jointly with Rospotrebnadzor, and the jury will include representatives of department structures.
Small children can try their hand in this direction teams of young scientists aged 18 to 25 years. Contestants are invited to conduct their own research on the basis of bioinformatics data analysis and, based on its results, prepare a public report, presenting to the jury conclusions about the development of the epidemic process, and give reasonable recommendations. An important criterion in evaluating the work will be the complexity of the epidemiological and bioinformatic study of the competitive task. The jury will also take into account the level of proficiency in computer methods of biological data analysis, the fundamental and applied significance of the results obtained.
Another new nomination - "Popular science video blogging" - is held in partnership with the Russian society "Knowledge". This initiative will allow young people from all over Russia to show their talent and creativity. Participants who are able to reveal serious topics in an exciting format are invited to independently shoot, edit and design a popular science video on a given topic. Contestants aged 16 to 25 are invited to participate in the nomination.
When evaluating the entries, the jury will take into account the degree of disclosure of the proposed topic, creative presentation and captivating content. The winners of the Popular Science Video Blogging nomination will receive valuable prizes from the Russian Knowledge Society and partners, including the video hosting RUTUBE.
In total, the Delphic Games competitive and festival program in 2022 includes 34 disciplines. In Krasnoyarsk, a record number of awards for the Games will be played - 106 sets. Boys and girls from 10 to 25 years old will take part in the largest forum in the field of artistic, scientific and technical creativity of youth as part of delegations from different regions of Russia.
