A detachment of ships of the Pacific Fleet arrived on a visit to the capital of the Philippines, TASS reports citing Nikolai Voskresensky, head of the information support department of the press service of the Eastern Military District for the Pacific Fleet.


"Today, within the framework of the implementation of the program for the development of international military cooperation, a detachment of ships of the Pacific Fleet in composition of large anti-submarine ships "Admiral Vinogradov" and "Admiral Panteleev", and also the large offshore tanker "Boris Butoma" arrived in the capital of the Philippines — Manila" — Voskresensky said.

The leadership of the Philippines, diplomats, residents and guests of the Philippine capital will visit the large anti-submarine ship "Admiral Panteleev". Between the sailors of the two countries, competitions in football, volleyball and tug of war, bus tours of historical places in Manila will be held. The Pacific Ocean will lay a wreath at the monument to the national hero of the Philippines Jose Protasio Rizal and visit Luneta National Park.

It is planned that the visit will last until 26 October.
