Days of Moscow will be held in the UAE from 2 to 8 December.
Days of Moscow began in the United Arab Emirates on December 2. The program of events, calculated until December 8 inclusive, is held as part of Expo 2020, according to the official website of the Moscow Mayor on Thursday.
“The Days of Moscow will be held in the UAE from December 2 to 8. The program of events provides for work within the framework of the Expo and is aimed at developing foreign economic, investment and cultural cooperation between Moscow and partners from the UAE. In particular, it is planned to hold official meetings for the exchange of experience, as well as the organization of conferences in the cities of Dubai and Abu Dhabi. Their goal is to present Moscow's achievements and help establish cooperation in such areas as the development of urban infrastructure, the creation of innovative clusters and the support of creative industries,” the message says.
Moscow Days in the UAE are organized by the Moscow Department of Foreign Economic and International Relations . “The Moscow government is always open to developing cooperation with partners from the UAE. We are ready to expand the scope of productive interaction. <...> We hope that the Days of Moscow will become a bright and memorable event that will leave the residents of the UAE with exceptionally positive emotions. We believe that the event will contribute to the strengthening of partnerships between our countries and cities,” the head of the department Sergey Cheremin is quoted in the message.
An extensive cultural program is also planned as part of the Days of Moscow : exhibition of contemporary Russian artists, master classes and youth events. Earlier it was reported that also within the framework of Expo 2020 in Dubai, from December 29 to December 2, the Moskino films festival, which was organized by the Moskino cinema chain, was held.
Also on December 2, the gastronomic festival Moscow Gastronomic Week opened. This project has become part of a large-scale program in the UAE, which is dedicated to the key areas of development of the Russian capital - from entrepreneurship and the introduction of advanced technologies to culture, tourism and gastronomy. It also includes concerts with the participation of world-famous artists, theatrical performances, film screenings, art projects.
Expo 2020 in Dubai runs from October 1, 2021 to March 31, 2022 under the motto "Connecting minds, creating the future." Participants from more than 190 countries, including Russia, will present advanced machine learning, artificial intelligence and data analytics technologies, as well as their latest technological developments in various fields.
