part of a global scientific collaboration to trace the origin of the virus. After overcoming the difficulties caused by the pandemic, for the first time, Chinese and foreign experts sat down together face to face and had a frank, deep and friendly exchange of views on relevant issues, adhering to a scientific and rigorous approach and the principle of seeking truth from facts. As far as I know, experts have reached quite a few consensuses, which I believe will be fully and accurately reflected in their report,” said the Chinese diplomat.

According to him, this mission provides a solid foundation for future origin of the COVID-19 virus.

“The joint efforts of the two sides for almost a month have laid a good foundation for global cooperation in the field of scientific tracking of the origin of COVID-19. It also once again shows China's practical actions to support the work of WHO and promote the creation of a health community for all mankind,” said Wang Wenbin.

that tracing the origin of the virus is a complex scientific matter that does not fall within the realm of diplomacy and should not be associated with political factors.

More and more evidence shows that the virus and the epidemic were present in many places around the world in the second half of 2019. Comprehensive analysis of relevant information and systematic research of relevant places will help to draw a scientific, objective and comprehensive conclusion on the study of the origin of the virus," Wang Wenbin stated.
