China has supplied the world with 1.6 billion doses of coronavirus vaccines

Chinese President Xi Jinping said that Beijing has also shipped about 350 billion protective masks, more than 4 billion sets of protective clothing and over 6 billion sets of PCR tests abroad.


Since the beginning of the spread of COVID-19, China has supplied the world community with more than 1.6 billion doses of vaccines against a new coronavirus infection. Chinese President Xi Jinping made the announcement on Thursday during a video address at the opening ceremony of the fourth China International Import Expo (CIIE), which will begin on November 5.

According to him, China has also shipped about 350 billion protective masks, more than 4 billion sets of protective clothing, and over 6 billion sets of PCR tests to help the world community fight the coronavirus infection.

Xi Jinping< /b> emphasized that China supported the lifting of restrictions related to vaccine intellectual property rights for developing countries. At the same time, the PRC stands for the fair distribution of emergency medical supplies and vaccines around the world.

This year's exhibition will be held November 5-10. Almost 3 thousand companies from 127 countries and regions of the world will take part in it, which exceeds the figures for 2020. The Russian exposition is represented by more than 30 companies, about half of which will take part online.

In 2020, following the results of the 3rd CIIE, deals worth over $72.6 billion were concluded. The corresponding figure turned out to be 2.1% more than that recorded at the import EXPO 2019. In total, about 2.6 thousand companies from 124 countries and regions of the world took part in the exhibition in 2020.
