Kyrgyzstan and China agreed to resume regular flights on the Urumqi-Bishkek-Urumqi route in the near future, which was suspended about two years ago due to the pandemic. This was announced on Tuesday by the Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry.

"An agreement was reached to resume regular flights on the Urumqi-Bishkek-Urumqi route starting from June of this year," the Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

Resumption flights on this route became possible "as a result of the agreements reached between the President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Zhaparov and the Chairman of the People's Republic of China Xi Jinping".

“Detailed issues of resuming regular flights between Kyrgyzstan and China will be agreed in the near future between the competent authorities of the two countries,” the message emphasizes.
