Air traffic is planned to be established for the convenience of South Ural tourists.

Governor of the Chelyabinsk region Boris Dubrovsky discussed with the Consul General of Vietnam in Yekaterinburg Ngo Phuong Ngy the possibility of launching a direct regular flight between Chelyabinsk and Vietnam. This was reported in the press service of the head of the region.

According to the governor, the number of residents of the Southern Urals who go on vacation to the republic is growing every year, and the opening of direct flights to Vietnam can greatly facilitate their journey. The Vietnamese diplomat agreed with this opinion and clarified that since the beginning of 2018, more than 500,000 South Ural residents have already visited Vietnam. This figure is expected to rise to 600,000 next year.

In addition, at the meeting, the parties discussed the possibility of bilateral visits. A representative delegation from Vietnam is expected in Chelyabinsk in the summer of 2019. An intention was expressed to develop cooperation in the fields of culture, education and tourism.
