Charitable Foundation named after diplomat Andrey Karlov summed up the first results of the work

The Andrei Karlov Foundation has been in existence for a little over a year and during this time dozens of projects have been implemented. The first results of the work were summed up at the general meeting of the members of the Presidium and benefactors.

The organization helped many people get the necessary medical care, held Andrey Karlov Memorial Days in cities in Russia and abroad, organized trips to the sea for schoolchildren, launched large-scale educational and scientific projects, such as joint Russian-Turkish schools and universities.

“The Karlov Foundation has been active since its inception. Today he is known both in Russia and in Turkey. And we - diplomats and businessmen - must support the work of a charitable organization. Everyone here is doing everything possible for the Foundation to continue its successful work and thus perpetuate the memory of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Andrey Karlov,” said Turkish Ambassador to Russia Hüseyin Dirioz.

The Foundation's leaders expressed their gratitude for the support of the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Russia and Turkey. We noted the invaluable assistance of the Turkish Embassy in Russia, as well as MGIMO, the alma mater of the deceased ambassador. The President of the Foundation, Andrey Karlov's widow Marina Mikhailovna presented commemorative diplomas to the most active volunteers and philanthropists.

Among them is Nadezhda Andreasyan, Marina Mikhailovna's sister, she has worked in the charitable foundation since the first days of its foundation.  “I often visited them in Turkey, therefore, you understand, I know this family like no other and I know how hard it was for her. Therefore, when the foundation was organized, I eagerly joined in its work. Our activities with her were mainly related to children. Those. So we took children from Klintsy to Demre, I accompanied them, helped to look after them,” shared Nadezhda Andreasyan.

The foundation, founded in memory of Andrei Karlov, a diplomat who died in the line of duty, has existed for a little over a year . The board of trustees includes Russian and Turkish entrepreneurs, diplomats, and public figures.
