Astronauts from the ISS congratulated women on March 8.


Cosmonauts Sergey Ryzhikov and Sergey Kud-Sverchkov, who are now on board the International Space Station (ISS), congratulated the women on March 8.

“Congratulations to you with the beginning of spring! Spring is a time of renewal, a time of awakening and flowering of nature, a time of new hopes. You make our world better and kinder,” said Sergey Ryzhikov. The video of congratulations is published on the website of Roskosmos.

In turn, Sergey Kud-Sverchkov wished all women to hear words of love and feel the attention and care of their loved ones. “May your every day be filled with joy, happiness, pleasant surprises and family warmth,” he added.



Astronauts on the ISS will work on International Women's Day. From March 8–9, it is planned to start sealing the second crack in the Zvezda module of the station.

Roscosmos cosmonauts Sergey Ryzhikov and Sergey Kud-Sverchkov are currently on the ISS b>, NASA astronauts Kathleen Rubins, Michael Hopkins, Victor Glover, Shannon Walker and Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency astronaut Sōichi Noguchi.
