Children's art schools in Yekaterinburg received new musical instruments, special technological equipment and educational methodological literature in the amount of 54 million rubles as part of the implementation of the national project "Culture". Ilya Markov, head of the department of culture of the administration of Yekaterinburg, told reporters about this on Wednesday.

"In total, about 54 million rubles were spent on the purchase of musical instruments, musical equipment, musical materials. And this is not only music schools, but also children's art schools, art schools. <...> Over the past few years, from 3 to 7 million rubles have been allocated for all schools, this year [allocated] 54 million rubles, that is, this is a multiple increase in funding for this particular activity ", - he said.

The purchases included percussion, wind, keyboard, folk and string instruments. In addition, rare stringed instruments - harps - appeared in several schools in the city.

"We chose instruments according to such quality characteristics that they sounded good in our school, in our conditions. The National Project "Culture" was developed to implement the presidential decree "On national goals and strategic objectives of the development of the Russian Federation for the period up to 2024". The national project consists of three subsections: "Cultural environment", "Creative people" and "Digital culture". In total, it is planned to allocate 113.5 billion rubles for the implementation of the national project in the Russian Federation. At the same time, the largest funding is provided for the Cultural Environment project - 84 billion rubles.
