Arab countries intend to weaken the anti-pandemic regime

Kuwait and Qatar are gradually lifting restrictions imposed due to the pandemic.

Authorities in Kuwait and Qatar on Monday announced their intention to ease restrictions imposed due to the increase in the number of cases of coronavirus infection. This was reported by the competent authorities of these countries.

The Ministry of Health of Qatar plans to completely lift restrictions in four stages starting from May 28. At the first stage, mosques will be opened for daytime prayers, and companies of five people will be allowed to gather (on the premises). However, the latter will only affect those who have been vaccinated against the coronavirus.

The duration of each stage will be at least three weeks, during which the Ministry of Health has promised to carefully monitor the dynamics of the spread of the infection.

Government spokesman Kuwait Tarek al-Mezram , in turn, said that in the country from 01:00 (coincides with Moscow time) on May 13, the curfew that has been in force for two months is partially canceled (from 19:00 to 05:00: 00). In addition, restaurants and cafes will be allowed to deliver food, and cinemas will open, but only those who have been vaccinated against coronavirus will be able to visit them. Since the beginning of the pandemic in the country, 285 thousand people have been infected with coronavirus, 1.6 thousand have died.

In Qatar, the number of confirmed cases of coronavirus infection per day was 397. 211.3 thousand people, 508 died.
