Uzbekistan received from the Russian Federation a new batch - 135,875 doses - of the Sputnik Light vaccine. This was reported to TASS on Monday by the press service of the Ministry of Health of the Republic.

"Another batch of 135,875 doses of the Sputnik Light vaccine has been delivered to Uzbekistan, in total, the republic has received 343,375 doses of this drug," a representative of the department said.

According to him, in Currently, about 45 million doses of various drugs have already been used to vaccinate against coronavirus in the republic with a population of 35 million people.

Mass vaccination of the population in Uzbekistan began in April. For this, the Russian vaccine Sputnik V, the production of which has been launched in the republic, as well as a drug manufactured in India under a license from the British-Swedish company AstraZeneca, a vaccine from the Chinese company Anhui Zhifei Longcom Biopharmaceutical, and American drugs Moderna and Pfizer are used.
