Andrei Karlov honored in Ankara

The participants of the memorial ceremony laid flowers and a wreath at the bust of the diplomat who died two years ago.

ceremony was held at the Embassy of the Russian Federation in Ankara, the participants of which honored the memory of Andrey Karlov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Russia to the Republic of Turkey, who died on December 19, 2016 at the hands of a terrorist.

The commemoration ceremony was attended by Russian Ambassador to Ankara Alexei Erkhov, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkey Yavuz Selim Kiran, head of the Commission on International Affairs of the Turkish Parliament Volkan Bozkir, a large number of deputies and representatives of diplomatic missions.

Wreaths were laid at the bust of Karlov on the territory of the diplomatic mission.

A memorial liturgy was held as part of the ceremony.
