All regions of Kazakhstan have left the red zone, where the spread of coronavirus is highest. This was announced on Monday by the press service of the Interdepartmental Commission for Combating Infection.

At the end of last year, Kazakhstani specialists developed a matrix that allows assessing the epidemiological situation in the country and making decisions on quarantine measures based on it. Currently, the regions of Kazakhstan are divided into three zones: red, yellow and green.

As of December 6, not a single region remained in the red zone, although the North Kazakhstan region was in it the day before. At the same time, the capital of the republic, Akmola, Karaganda, Pavlodar, Kostanay and North Kazakhstan regions are located in the yellow sector, where the pace of the spread of coronavirus is moderate. -Ata and Shymkent, as well as Atyrau, Aktobe, Alma-Ata, West Kazakhstan, Turkestan, Zhambyl, Kyzylorda, Mangistau and East Kazakhstan regions. The republic itself as a whole, according to its experts, is in the same zone.

Since the beginning of the epidemic, 975,982 cases of coronavirus infection have been confirmed in Kazakhstan, 942,076 patients have recovered, and 12,785 people have died. Over the past day, 632 new cases of infection were detected. The population of the republic is 19 million people.

Since August 1 last year, the Ministry of Health of Kazakhstan has been keeping statistics of people infected with coronavirus in a new way. It separately includes both laboratory-confirmed cases of COVID-19 and cases of pneumonia with a negative PCR test result that have clinical and epidemiological signs of coronavirus infection. According to the latest information, 82,976 cases of such pneumonia have been identified in the country, and 5,163 people with this diagnosis have died. As of December 6, 8,783,874 people were vaccinated with the first component of the vaccine in the republic, of which 8,182,339 people completed the vaccination process.
